One of the founding members of Zapgo, the UK's newest 'Destination Charging' company. My current role is to manage a variety of projects within the business that supports our growth and ability to deliver a first class service to our shareholders, landlords and ultimately drivers using our kit to juice up their cars!Am working with my colleague and co-founder of Voneus, Steve Leighton, and an incredible team of experienced professionals - and with £26.5M of funding completed, we have all the tools to hand to make Zapgo a notable player in the growing EVC space.

Voneus is one of the biggest AltNet broadband providers in the UK today, and I was the founder of the company back in 2011.It is (by some margin) the biggest Fixed Wireless Access (“FWA”) provider in the UK and is building a significant FTTP network in communities within England and Wales. This story started with no customers, no money, but with the tenacity of my colleagues and I (specifically Steve Leighton, Alan Seldon and Graham Wallace (d)) we formed a business plan, sought out SEIS investment, followed by private shareholder funding, debt funding and the equity and debt funding to make it all happen. My role in the business has been wide ranging, latterly as Assistant Chief Executive Officer, but previously CTO, Head of Customer Acquisition, et al. I also got to know the Southwest of England, parts of SW Wales, NW England and the midlands pretty well having built significant infrastructure there.Most importantly I have worked with some fantastic, dedicated, and talented individuals who taken together made Voneus something special for its customers and shareholders alike.I left the business in September 2023 following a perfectly natural process of owner/manager exiting stage left following an SPA from Macquarie Capital as a planned event. I remain a shareholder and advocate of the business, its wider strategy and of the plight of rural communities left behind by the big TelCos, and which are being reconnected to the WWW using wireless or fixed-line Gigabit connectivity by Voneus.A life-changing and ultimately successful experience, and whilst I am of mixed emotions now having left, I look forward to the next challenge life throws in my direction.

Managing the release scoping through to delivery of MarkitWire, a post trade over the counter derivative trading and workflow application used by many financial institutions.

Technology strategy and implementation for internet start up making use of modern web software and architechture (ruby/postgresql/ubuntu/agile etc).

Managed the implementation of large scale digital advertising system across a number of internet cafe locations throughout China (and was based in Shanghai), following acquisition and subsequent disposal of Lastfield business units.Technology covered a number of key stands including in-store retail TV network, internet terminal advertising platform and digital vending. Managed international network between London, Shanghai and Los Angeles

Founder of a successful web software agency which grew to operate from 7 office locations in the UK. Over 175 clients including Publicis Groupe, DMGT, New York Times, Scania AB, Photo-Me International Plc, Hewlett Packard, Misys and Dione (now Verifone) and many other SMEs. Eventually built around 200 web sites and applications and concurrently managed around 250 of the same for our clients.
