I am the founder of Voneus, now one of the UK's biggest AltNet broadband providers, serving thousands of customers in rural communities with wireless and fibre products, with nearly 500 members of staff in the business as I write this. The business was bought by Macquarie Capital in 2021 and the CEO (another founder) and I left the business in late 2023. We are both now involved with another infrastructure startup business called Zapgo, delivering electric vehicle charging stations in premium locations throughout the UK.Outside of work I completed a law degree in 2017 and volunteer as a police officer for the Metropolitan Police Service, where I have been awarded four Commendations for leadership in my 19 year career there.Oh and I also co-own a pub in Kilburn called the Sir Colin Campbell, with the third founder of Voneus, having taken it over in April 2023. Whilst neither of us are involved in actually running the business, as we have a fantastic General Manager who does this; we are both very privileged to own an Irish pub in Kilburn as descendants of Irish immigrants.
