Colonel Matt Lund is a partner at Vellum LLC, advising businesses on their legal matters. He specializes in corporate governance and structure, compliance with federal law, contracts, and employee matters. He was formerly the general counsel (staff judge advocate) for Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, and Aviano Air Base, Italy, where he advised military commanders on their operations and supervised legal support to a population of 105,000. Colonel Lund was also legal advisor to the Commander, Combined Air Force Air Component, U.S. Central Command, Southwest Asia. He advised the command and control of a 20-nation area of responsibility during operations Resolute Support in Afghanistan and Inherent Resolve in Iraq and Syria. He had previously served as general counsel of the Air Force Institute of Technology (the Air Force's graduate school), where he directed legal support to the PhD and MS programs.Colonel Lund grew up in a military family and is a 2001 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, obtained his MBA from UMass-Lowell in 2005, and is a 2009 graduate of BYU Law School.
