Key Responsibilities:• Support the implementation of the Project Quality, OH&S and Environmental Management Plans on all projects.• Assist to monitor and update on a regular basis the construction program on projects in which you are involved.• Ensure that materials are procured in advance of the requirements of the construction program in all projects.• Review and process subcontractor progress payments on a monthly basis and advise administration in accordance with monthly reporting requirements.• Assist in daily project Quality System monitoring with respect to inspections, checklists, documentation and record keeping.• Monitor and assist in submitting variations, extensions of time and delays to the works on a daily basis.• Actively participate in training initiatives and skill development programs

Whilst being here I have provided a support role to the Project Manager and Project Supervisor / Foreman in the management, administration and execution of the construction works for a number of major project or various smaller projects. The primary role of providing the appropriate information, advice and support services to the Project Manager and Supervisor on all engineering matters.Position Responsibilities include;Preparation and monitoring of:• Integrated Site Management Plan including quality, safety and environmental plans• Job traffic and environmental plans• Job construction method plans• Project programsProcurement of:• Job materials utilising supply agreements and purchase orders• Job subcontractors• Including calling quotations and negotiating with supplier utilising agreements and subcontractorsMonitoring of project costs including:• Preparation of monthly valuation and forecast• Analysis of work item costs• Review of completed project costs

Through this I have been involved with Residential, Multi-Residential, Commercial and Institutional projects throughout Northern Australia.• Reporting directly to the senior structural engineers, the role includes structural engineering design, documentation and construction phase services. This is carried out by meeting all relevant Australian standards to meet certification (Form 15/16).• A notable project I have been involved in is The Cairns Institute (Est $22 M) – which is a complicated & innovative research and technology complex for James Cook University.
