- Manage a team of 6 investment officers, providing review and support as they underwrite transactions across the agriculture sector- Implement a novel agribusiness strategy for the agency including delivering on its commitment to invest over $1 billion in food security.-Collaborate frequently across the organization as the project team leader, coordinating input from social and environmental policy teams, legal experts, and credit officers in addition to mentoring and supporting interns and junior team members- Structure and execute innovative transactions across project finance loans, corporate loans, and guaranties including a 2nd loss re-guaranty to increase the supply of fertilizer sold on credit in Sub-Saharan Africa, ultimately winning the DFC Honor Award for Cross-Agency Collaboration- Engage frequently with external stakeholders including USAID, other development finance institutions, and private foundations to advance international development in the agricultural sector

I am an investment officer on the food and agriculture investing team at DFC. In this role, I originate, structure, and underwrite direct loans up to $50m to innovative food and agriculture companies throughout the value chain that have positive impact core to their mission. We are active globally, but our work focuses on low and middle income countries.

As part of the Advanced Fossil group of LPO, I performed diligence on and evaluated prospective borrowers under the Department of Energy's Title XVII Program. This work included loan structuring and document negotiation.

This SIPA Capstone project explored the main national security challenges posed by China’s influence and great power competition at the UN and in international organizations. We produced an executable report to recommend ways to partner with allies and other countries to strengthen the integrity of the United Nations in keeping with its charter. Over the course of the engagement, we interviewed current and former diplomats, policy analysts, and academics to evaluate the best path forward and better understand the current dynamics of the UN and its various groupings, most notably the G77 group of developing countries.

I evaluated and screened potential impact investment opportunities for the Foundation’s Zero Gap Fund and broader program related investments platform. In the process, I conducted due diligence, financial modeling and drafted investment memoranda for the Foundation’s prospective investments

I worked on the Structured Credit Trading desk in the Securities Division. Within the team, I had a lead role on expanding our European fund financing business, particularly to private equity funds. Additionally, I was also responsible for evaluating and underwriting project finance transactions including for wind farms, railways, and power networks.

I worked on the Structured Credit Trading desk. In our desk formerly called Hard Asset Trading, we made markets on a variety of secured bonds and loans in the aviation, shipping, and offshore sectors.

I worked on the Asia Structured Credit Trading desk. In our desk formerly called Principal Funding and Investments, we are market makers in secured funding and are active in a variety of funding formats including repos, borrow pledges, and total return swaps. In some instances, we also originate, underwrite, and make markets in Asian structured credit assets.

I taught 3 classes of 40 high school students at this boarding school for ethnic minority girls from rural areas. I was forced to speak almost entirely Chinese outside of class with my colleagues.
