DOE LPO: Unleashing American Energy Infrastructure & Innovation ✓ SECURING & STRENGTHENING American energy assets ✓ BOOSTING American energy innovation & technologies ✓ EXPANDING reliable & affordable energy for all Americans ✓ CREATING American jobs The U.S. Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office (LPO) was established by the bipartisan Energy Policy Act of 2005 to serve as the premier public financing organization for large-scale and high-impact energy and energy infrastructure projects in the United States, for the benefit of all Americans. LPO finances impactful American energy projects, breakthrough American energy innovations, and domestic energy infrastructure upgrades. LPO programs and projects support the Trump Administration and Secretary Wright’s efforts to bolster American energy security; maintain technological global competitiveness; and provide a more reliable, stable, and affordable energy supply for all Americans. LPO programs can provide lower cost financing for American energy projects across key technology sectors such as advanced fossil, advanced nuclear, critical materials, geothermal, hydropower, and transmission.
