In addition to the continued responsibility for global operations my role was expanded to encompass group responsibility for Safety, Quality, GPS and Supply chain management.

Primary responsibility for existing operations and achievement of best practice, performance & profitability through effective direction, design & development of manufacturing systems and operational processes. Secondly to manage the set up of Futuris' global manufacturing capability in new regions, covering the entire value chain from supply and logistics through to each manufacturing process in new facilities

Primary responsibility in this role was for the design, development and implementation of new operational facilities around the world incorporating best practice methodology. Secondary responsibility to develop global operational plans focusing on facility layout, location, scale and infrastructure, in order to achieve the most commercially viable business cases for new and existing facilities. Additional responsibility for heading up all operational acquisition, relocation and consolidation activities globally.

Originally employed as Technical manager responsible for product / process engineering, project management and quality. Additional responsibility for production (300 employees), site services, maintenance and OH&S gained when promoted to Manufacturing manager.

Plastic Omnium Auto Exterior operates 22 production facilities and 20 forward supplier facilities in Europe and North and South America. Within the UK P.O is a first tier supplier in the molding and painting of exterior body parts to Jaguar, Land Rover, Rover and GM;
