I am a research scientist with over a decade of experience in the molecular-level understanding of materials through advanced characterization techniques, including vibrational spectroscopy, neutron and X-ray scattering and diffraction, and computational chemistry. My work focuses on exploring fundamental material properties and advancing applications in clean energy technology and industrial decarbonization.Current Research Focus:Fundamental Understanding:• Lattice dynamics and behavior of porous materials• Stability and response to external stimuli (mechanical, thermal, and photochemical)• Amorphization and degradation mechanisms in diverse material systemsApplications:• Carbon dioxide removal and hydrogen storage• Advanced strategies for the conversion and upcycling of solid waste (catalysis, pyrolysis, and gasification)• Development of new methods for producing low-cost graphite, silicon, and low-carbon cement

I was interested in the electrophilicity of various systems and in identifying properties that could induce proton transfer as well as the ability to predict the stability of the resultant anionic forms.
