Origin was an ambitious project to build network of city-states around the world, enabled by a land-backed, on-chain, state sponsored cryptocurrency. As OxCEPT's CMO I held the global marketing, sales and product development efforts for OxCEPT and its products. I also contributed to the company's fundraising efforts as it transitioned from an early startup into its next phases of growth.OxCEPT is a world renowned team of security experts developing decentralized security solutions, specializing in military-grade authentication and encryption technology. OxCEPT's patented authentication protocols were developed for and field proven by the UK military. They allowed coalition soldiers to bootstrap secure and private channels of communication over any compromised network.

The Vanbex Group is a digital currency and Blockchain professional services firm. They provide a broad range of services specializing in strategy, marketing, consulting, technology development and operations.I helped Vanbex re-tool how they onboard and execute on new client projects, by assessing and re-building some of the core processes, systems and roles which support them. I also helped them improve some of their marketing materials and communication pieces for some upcoming products currently in development.

An increase in new business for Eyeball Networks shifted the organizational priorities, and with it my focus into scaling Eyeball's operational and product delivery capabilities. I sourced and implemented a completely new Continuous Integration software development system, bug ticketing system and internal communication processes to keep up with the rapid business growth.This work significantly increased the speed and efficiency of our product development teams, and improved Eyeball’s ability to deliver on its customer promises.Eyeball Networks builds carrier-grade, IP communication solutions for some of the world's best known technology companies, such as Intel, Philips and Polycom. Through these customers their software reaches over 20 million endpoints worldwide.

For two years I lead the global marketing strategy and execution for Eyeball Networks and its entire suite of P2P VoIP and NAT traversal products. It began with re-defining the positioning and messaging of the company and products, which better conveyed the problems we solved for our customers. That positioning was rolled out through a complete turnaround of Eyeball's online presence - website, visual branding, social media, SEO and more, resulting in the improvement of several key metrics including a 48% increase in online lead conversions. A complete localization of Eyeball's online presence also enabled effective sales initiatives and new business in targeted countries such as Japan, China, and Korea.Eyeball Networks builds carrier-grade, IP communication solutions for some of the world's best known technology companies, such as Intel, Philips and Polycom. I was honoured and privileged to volunteer alongside some very skilled and dedicated firefighters for three years while living on a BC gulf island.During that time I became a fully trained Medical First Responder, and completed all the practical tests for The Justice Institute of British Columbia's (JIBC's) Fire Fighter Certification Program - Fire Fighter I designation.The training, skills, and practical experience I gained while responding to hundreds of calls with the department during my service taught me more about teamwork, people, and myself than any other experience I've had, business or otherwise.

After leaving Lucent Technologies I took some time to think about what I wanted to focus on next. While doing that I helped out at the Suzuki Foundation, primarily on projects that took advantage of my communication skills.Working with the smart and highly dedicated people of the foundation was inspirational, and a great learning opportunity for which I am grateful.

I was accountable for the Western Canada region as a member of the Lucent's national business development team. In this role I liaised with the US product divisions, supported client-side marketing teams and campaigns, collaboratively developed and implemented successful Canadian product launch strategies, and delivered critical market research/analysis support for the sales teams. Contributed on several major deals valued over $200M, which saw the top line regional revenue climb 122% over term and saw me rewarded with Achievers Club status for 3 consecutive years.
