Leading Facilities Operations for a rapidly expanding Medical Device Reprocessor, I am the Facilities Manager at Innovative Health. In my first year I’ve overseen the custom build-out of a 9,000 sqft office and warehouse expansion from design to execution. I’ve sourced and physically replaced critical RO Production System Equipment including filters, uv equipment, Fortron and Stainless Steel tankless water heaters, as well as miscellaneous piping including designing a custom manifold system for dynamic temperature control. Upon arrival at AVS I transitioned in house laundry services, replaced a struggling janitorial vendor and restructured the Facilities Department resulting in a 20% annual savings with increased perceived customer satisfaction while eliminating a long-standing maintenance backlog. I was the Facility Manager for a group of Veterinary Specialty Practices operating a 24/7/365 full service Veterinary Hospital. I led all Facilities Operations with full discretion for departmental direction and budget generation and was responsible for all aspects of Facility Management from lease review and invoice allocation to vendor selection and staff performance reviews. I performed hands on repairs and maintenance for all building systems including medical suction, compressed air, oxygen and medical gas, laundry, DI water, various medical equipment from hoists to X-ray and MRI machines as well as a linear accelerator, and of course electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems, escalating to contractors at my discretion. In my short time with AVS I oversaw all aspects of building operations and maintenance including budget generation and recommendations on departmental philosophy- including discretion to decide how we will succeed. I represented a group of tenants and their practices before the landlord panel of their leased building. While with AVS I reduced the operating budget by 5% through vendor management and process improvement with perceived increases in quality of services provided. I also increased departmental engagement creating a strong partner in FM services and concierge offerings, erasing the previous image of a maintenance crew waiting for something to break.

I provided facilities management for a 500 seat, 70,000 sq. ft. call center and remotely support a number of smaller sites throughout the Western US and Canada. I was responsible for a $2,000,000 budget for my building and tracked spending for each of my regional sites. I’ve supported Alternate Worksite Disaster Recovery planning and testing including actual transfer of capabilities. I conducted numerous office moves coordinating internal efforts and contracting service providers to ensure uninterrupted office production. I was responsible for all vendor services contracts and directed their on-site activities i.e. janitorial/day porters, security, repairs, maintenance and renovation projects- including full direction and execution of replacing a 750kva generator while performing an electric panel redistribution increasing the number of generator-backed workstations from 48 to 370. This project came in under budget, closed early and saw the completion without interruption of Call Center Operations. To support my role as Site EHS Lead I completed OSHA’s 30 Hour General Industry Safety and Health course.

Morgan Chaney was a small company where I was able to apply a variety of skills. As Print Manager I was responsible for the proper setup and execution of all Print Work, directing staff, ordering printing materials and managing the production schedule. As Maintenance Manager I was responsible for maintaining/repairing all print machines, compressors, building systems including plumbing, electrical and air coolers. I was required to train in shipping and receiving to act as the shipping manager as needed, sending out in excess of 100 parcels per day for domestic and international delivery, receiving and maintaining stock all while maintaining print production.

I was hired as the furniture installation manager with the purpose of improving the quality of contract furniture installations. I managed a vast number of projects from planning to final acceptance of furniture workstations, mobile shelving, raised access flooring, demountable wall, and a wealth of custom products. I attended many factory trainings where I consistently graduated at the top of my class having been through leadership training at Rapport Leadership Intrenational. I developed high-quality standards for my installers and focused my efforts on problem jobs to retain clients. CAI had many large clients (military, police, libraries) who often awarded us their contracts based on word-of-mouth due to our quality work and excellent customer customer service from their industry colleagues. We were very successful with this strategy growing gross revenue from 4 million in 2000 to 18 million in 2007. A number of clients awarded their contracts specifically with the understanding that I would lead their project. I managed our fleet of vehicles as well as oversaw the maintenance of our showrooms and warehouses. We moved four times in nine years, each time I oversaw custom build-outs both of our showroom and our warehouse facilities.

As Field Supervisor I ran job sites and crews both large and small for comercial systems furniture installations. I attended pre-installation/ site verification meetings, with an eye toward potential problems. I would troubleshoot with customers and dealerships to resolve all issues before, during and after installations. I am experienced estimating manpower, and the service and installation of a wide variety of office interior products, and can drive any non-CDL truck.
