I have over a decade of experience as a researcher, published writer, and organizer of both projects and people. I have spent most of my career in the field of education, where I have relentlessly pursued the potential for technology to innovate and invigorate academic work.I have worked autonomously and in collaboration with others to design projects that balance student needs with institutional objectives. Much of my work has involved the facilitation of meetings and the organization and management of projects by individuals and groups. I excel at explaining difficult concepts in terms people can understand, and in creating clear roadmaps that enable people to deliver projects on time.In addition to my communications and management skills, I am also a highly creative individual. I am a musician and a freelance artist, and I make short films with a local film-making collective here in Madison, WI. These activities frequently complement my professional work; for example, I self-produced a series of educational videos to support online learning in 2020-1.
