Working within the Engineering directorate to utilise data driven approaches to improve the reliability of Chilterns Class 165, 168 and Loco Hauled MK3 Fleets.My main areas of focus are: The development of a holistic business intelligence platform for the engineering directorate, integrating the various sources of data from legacy systems. Producing regular and ad-hoc reporting to the business and leadership.Developing analysis to connect engineering to the customer/passengers.Root cause analysis for in service fleet failures and innovations/procedural change to prevent repeat incidents.I am also a trained RSSB accident investigator and lead investigations into safety incidents within engineering.On call responsibilities held.I have also conducted engine health checks on the fleet, riding trains in service connected to engine management computers capturing data to feed into our health metrics.Fully PTS including AC & DC and line of route trained on all Fleets.Designated Person CompetentCompetent to carry out train preparation and signoff on Class 165 and 168 Fleets.

West Coast Partnership Development is the ‘Shadow Operator’ for High Speed 2: designing, developing and mobilising high speed service operations and associated conventional services. Its goal is to maximise the benefits of the significant investment in high speed infrastructure.I introduced automated reporting utilising Power Bi. Developed connections between Oracle P6, Workfront and finance systems. Reduced repetitive manual reports and introduced proper data-warehousing and trending. In addition I was responsible for mapping and optimising the recruitment processes for contracting team that made up the majority of WCPD staff.

Continuing the great work done under Virgin Trains. I focused on BI and reporting internally within the centre, to understand the process efficiency for workstreams the agents undertook.I produced a BI reporting 'App' using Power BI. Giving insight into agent actions, customer success rates, telephony and live chat.

Working within the Customer Resolutions Centre to provide customer insights as well as assisting to drive process efficiency within the many work streams the centre has.Currently working on transforming the Delay Repay process at Virgin Trains.On the team responsible for rolling out Service Now as a replacement complaints management platform, involved with detailed requirements capture and testing.A lot of time spent working towards higher levels of process automation within the centre, utilising integrations with various railway systems and technologies such as machine learning and robotic process automation.Key Responsibilities:Producing ad hoc and regular reporting to the business utilising MS Dynamics, ServiceNow and SQL reporting.Where required writing code to assist with the solving of problems, as well as producing proof-of concepts to drive innovation.Capturing requirements for the deployment of new systems and improvements to existing onesSigning off design and testing for improvements and new functionality roll-outs.Key AchievementsPart of the team who assisted with transforming the centre's response rates to customers. Working as part of the Rail Team developing the HERMES rail simulation platform.Currently working on modelling of ATO systems for the mainline railway using ETCS L2Worked as Graffica's Lead Scenario Developer for the Digital Railway Outline Business Case. I am working with the wider Digital Railway project team to create accurate models, simulating a number of improvements to the railways infrastructure as well as rolling stock and timetabling that are planned to be applied between now and 2043.Conducted GSM-R Capacity modelling for both the East Coast and Great Western mainlines for Network Rail.Developed the Netherlands Signalling System in the simulation for European Commission ONTIME project.Other key areas of work have been the modelling of multinational railway systems, rail traffic management, disruption/perturbation handling, rolling stock management, timetabling and routing amongst many more.Key Technologies Used:JavaJava EEXMLRailMLJSONApache ANTCVS/SVN
