My main function is to recruit, train, and oversee two teams: one comprised of professional paid spokespeople and another of volunteers. Relationship building, storytelling, and public speaking development take up most of my time, though I also:Work cross-functionally with other teams to determine future marketing and communications needs and ensure we have the proper volunteers on our team to assist. Interview warriors to develop their personal stories of service, sacrifice, and recovery. Direct photo shoots with volunteers to ensure our professional photographers capture imagery that will be useful to our internal teams. Support our volunteers and staff members - after all, our people are still wounded warriors and still have their challenges. Provide speech feedback to spokespeople to continue their professional development.

Drawing on extensive media, public speaking, and management experience, I oversee a nationwide team of approximately 70 volunteers, maintaining exceptional working relationships, delivering media and public speaking training, and scheduling volunteer opportunities. In this capacity, I also travel to meet each volunteer to conduct a professional photo shoot. These images, along with the written bios I create for each volunteer, allow WWP to share these volunteers' images and stories in marketing and fundraising collateral. I'm also in charge of the WWP Annual Report and public-facing magazine, After Action Report. For both publications, I plan and create all content, manage the approvals process, and oversee printing to ensure on-time delivery.
