• Manage supervisory activities associated with a portfolio of banks and federal savings associations located throughout Arkansas and portions of surrounding states• Supervise, train, and develop field office examiners and support staff, ensure effective risk-based supervision principles are implemented, and implement quality assurance measures • Serve as a member of the senior management group, setting organizational goals, priorities and supporting the OCC’s strategic plan• Serve as an OCC spokesperson with bank executives and boards of directors, federal officials, public interest groups, and the general public to discuss, educate, and exchange information on changing conditions, risks and policy issues

• Manage the supervision and rehabilitation of an assigned portfolio of banks exhibiting above normal risk; coordinate use of subject matter and policy experts to evaluate findings and assess bank activities; develop, implement, evaluate compliance with enforcement actions; and evaluate and process changes in directors and senior executive officers.• Serve as advisor and OCC's specialist resource on problem bank issues. Analyze unique or precedent-setting situations to formulate OCC's approach. Help resolve complex issues involving problem and emerging problem banks.• Design supervisory strategies and direct examination activities. Coordinate supervisory activities and information exchanges with Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), Federal Reserve, and other regulatory agencies. • Serve as OCC's onsite representative at bank closings. Represent the OCC at meetings with foreign bank regulators regarding problem bank supervision. Prepare policy statements and advisory letters concerning problem bank supervision.

• Serve as an advisor to the Assistant Deputy Comptroller (ADC) in planning, organizing, and implementing all functions of the field office.• Review and perform quality assurance reviews on reports of examination, work products, and correspondence to ensure proper ratings and risk assessments are assigned and ready for the ADC’s sign off.• Assist in writing the business plan for the field office and allocating resources to meet supervisory strategies.• Provide technical guidance to examination staff, bankers, bank directors, outside parties, and district and Washington office personnel.• Review and approve supervisory strategies for individual national banks and federally-chartered savings associations, ensuring significant risks are appropriately addressed.• Identify areas of concern within the portfolio and determine methods of resolution and recommend appropriate action or follow-up.• Work closely with district counsel and problem bank analysts on problem institutions• Member of the team developing the credit portion of the OCC's Uniform Commissioning Exam (UCE) • Attend board and exit meetings representing the field office.• Present at industry outreaches and serve as a liaison with representatives of the banking industry and community groups.• Supervise and manage the work of office support staff, including preparing annual performance evaluations.• Serve as an evaluator to help pre-commissioned examiners prepare for the UCE commissioning process.• Instructor for internal OCC classes.
