Coronation Street / Text Santa

In Oct 2015 I was tasked with creating the Coronation Street element for the Text Santa 2015 charity show. The sketch was a homage to and to celebrate 30 years of Back To The Future, 55 of Coronation Street and 60 years of ITV. I created the concept, pitched the idea, scheduled the shoot and directed the final piece. The whole team which worked on the project did an unbelievable job of crafting a very complex and detailed vision of the past, present and future.

In Aug 2015 I undertook the role of Lead 3rd Assistant Director for the Coronation St Live Episode 2015. Choreographing the movement of 86 supporting artists and the movement and positioning of 19 vehicles for the Live Episode on Wednesday 23rd September 2015.

I began my career at "Coronation Street"​ as a runner in 2007 then worked my way up to 3rd A.D in 2008. This role gave me the chance to work on some fantastic shoots but most notably for me the 2010 Tram Crash episodes and the December 9th Live Episode. I have also undertook the roles of 2nd A.D & 1st A.D at various points within my time as well as Artist Liaison for live radio events and Production Assistant for press launches for Adidas and the 50th anniversary episodes on "Coronation Street".

This "Coronation Street" special was created for the charity appeal show Text Santa in 2014. On this project I undertook many roles including creation of the story and plot; scheduling the piece within our 3/4 on running filming units; script editing with the writer; prepping call sheets & shooting hours; creating the look and feel of the piece and also working with and scheduling the cast. Special guests Warwick Davis and Mel B starred as well as a special recorded section featuring Jonathan Ross on The Jonathan Ross Show.

Executive Producer on three low budget short films with Bolo Films.The first "I'm Sorry To Tell You"​ had it's premiere at the New York Independent Film Festival, is currently doing the festival circuit and long listed for BAFTA. The second "Taubman" has just had its premiere at the UK Jewish Film Festival.The third "Hope Dies Last" is currently in post production with a Spring 2017 release scheduled.

In 2010 I set up Quarter Blue Films hoping to create and experiment with projects within a broad spectrum of areas. Since it's inception I have worked with various music artists, fashion houses and live events to try and create original and interesting work. My work has featured on ITV's “This Morning” and has been very well received online and through social media. Having worked with the National Youth Theatre, Freestyle Records artist Lack of Afro and Craig Charles to create live performance media has given me a creative outlet like no other. Coronation Street / Text Santa

Working with Text Santa to create a "Coronation Street"​ special for their 2013 charity appeal show, I created, directed and edited "Fairytale of Weatherfield"​. This involved the "Coronation Street"​ cast taking on lyrical duties for The Pogues classic "Fairytale of New York". With a special appearance from Shane MacGowan and working with a musical director the piece was challenging but an incredibly rewarding experience.
