Researching ultrafast optics within Dr. Steve Cundiff's group. In this position, I resurrected a cannibalized Ti:Sapphire ultrafast laser. I also assembled apparatus, and wrote LabView programs to utilize the Frequency Resolved Optical Gating (FROG) method to measure intra-cavity dispersion in the laser.

Led appointment-based, and drop-in group study of mainly first and second year physics courses. Advised students on study habits and problem solving skills, as well as test taking strategies.

Researcher within the Molecular Physics Lab, advised by Dr. Dusan Pejakovic. My research project was on ozone photodissociation, with a fluorine excimer laser. We would then measure the resulting fluorescence to observe vibrational motion of the resulting oxygen molecule. This work was supported by the National Science Foundation's Research Experience for Undergraduates (NSF REU) program.
