The Partner Technology Strategist is a senior technology role involved with developing the strategy and capability of partner practices on Microsoft technology. The role focuses on partner and joint business development of the Microsoft partner channel. The main responsibilities and activities are:Enabling partners to sell and deliver solutions based on the Microsoft public cloud offerings for infrastructure; Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Intune.Working on strategic level with partners on identifying partner business value, customer business value, market opportunities and approach.Working with business development roles on identifying cloud solution capabilities to create customer value propositions. Working with technical roles on obtaining the appropriate delivery skills for the cloud offering solutions.Delivering presentations on private and public events, delivering in-person training, hosting executive briefings, workshops and webinars on Microsoft Azure infrastructure technologies and specific Microsoft Azure solutions like Azure Active Directory, Azure Rights Management Services and Azure Recovery Services.Driving Microsoft Cloud Platform partner capacity by recruiting partners for the Microsoft public cloud platform.Accomplished results so far include strong increase of Microsoft Azure adoption among partners, increase in partner influenced Azure revenue, a Partner Business Development program for Azure and internal award for outstanding performance.

Working with (pre-) sales roles on understanding the hybrid cloud offering solutions. The principal consultant is a technical role with extensive experience and subject matter expertise, involved with architecting and designing customer solutions on Microsoft infrastructure technologies.In this role I further developed my skills and became part of the worldwide internal Windows Server Insiders community.I also started focusing on x-86 virtualization and became one of the first subject matter experts on Virtual PC and Virtual Server. Due to lack of a proper Windows management application, I developed a management tool for Virtual Server 2005 for all customers to use. I developed and delivered numerous master classes on server virtualization including Hyper-V. I was an author and co-author of several books on server virtualization with Virtual Server, Hyper-V and ISA2004.In 2007 I achieved the Open Group Certified Architect certification.

The senior consultant is a technical role with extensive experience, involved with designing customer solutions on Microsoft infrastructure technologies.In this role I was still focused on the infrastructure portfolio of Microsoft products. As a result of the success in the Joint Development Programs I became part of the ISA2004 product development cycle in the role of Program Manager for the local team.I was also involved with one of the first customer implementations of the Windows Server System Reference Architecture. Next to my technical role focusing on product solutions I started coaching others in developing their technical and personal skills.I further developed my expertise in security and passed the (ISC)2 CISSP accreditation.

The infrastructure consultant is a technical role involved with designing customer solutions on Microsoft infrastructure technologies. This role was part of Microsoft Consulting Services offering its services to large enterprise customers.In this role I focused on Microsoft infrastructure in general covering the operating systems, management and security. I was part of the Joint Development Program (JDP) of Windows 2000 and later Windows 2003 and Windows XP.I was also part of the Joint Development Program for ISA2000 as a JDP Program Manager and drove the success of the first and largest ISA2000 deployment in the world. Achieved recognition for outstanding performance from both Windows and ISA product groups.
