Gis Solution Architect
CurrentMy current role is focused around the establishment of Enterprise GIS capabilities within the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) and involves working closely with many stakeholders, ranging from executives to field staff, to define and implement the governance, technology, and integrations required for GIS to succeed at MSP airport. As the GIS Solution Architect, I am responsible for the architecture and management of GIS infrastructure, managing data development and application development projects, and coordinating staff augmentation resources.I previously worked in the MAC’s Environment Department as a GIS Coordinator where I was primarily responsible for managing the spatial components and web applications associated with the world's largest permanent aircraft noise and operations monitoring system. This position involved oversight of development projects related to complex ETL processes and web applications, administering PostgreSQL/PostGIS databases, managing external consultants, and developing spatial analysis techniques related to modeling aircraft operations and aviation related noise.
