Since graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone, that terrific design institution in the far north, I’ve had what amounts to a fascination with brands. And working for agencies in London, Singapore and Edinburgh I’ve been lucky enough to come up with ideas for some of the really great ones.When I set up Contagious in 2001, there wasn’t a big plan (never is!) - just a vision of a passionately creative agency with a hunger to work with brilliant global brands. In 12 years we’ve gone from a shared office and a vintage Mac to studios in Edinburgh and Glasgow and a staff of 40 incredibly talented people producing award-winning creative work. So I guess we must be doing something right! And the Macs are a bit newer too. Today we work with clients around the world who have amazing brands and we specialise in brand communications, digital, environments and experiential design – in other words everything our clients need to deliver totally compelling brand immersions for their audiences. For me, what makes Contagious work is the combination of a different perspective, ruthless attention to detail and bloody hard work.
