I have 22 years of experience working in several roles within environmental management/restoration, landscaping, horticulture, commercial and urban forestry, parks and gardens and bushland management including management positions in New Zealand, the UK and Australia. I spent between 2007 to 2017 at Pittwater Council (which became the Northern Beaches Council in 2016) in environmental management roles and gained an excellent knowledge of the workings of local government and dealt with a broad range of stakeholders. In January 2017 I moved to Noosa in southeast Queensland and started a technical role at Noosa Council and have since gained a position as the Coordinator of the Parks & Gardens Team.I love the outdoors and I'm passionate about nature, landscapes and the environment, which has lead to my career choice as well as my personal interests and hobbies. In several positions to date I have managed a diverse range of staff ranging from teams of up to 40 people. My leadership style is positive and encouraging with a focus on staff growth and development, as well as leading by example. I am a highly motivated person who can think strategically at a high level as well as focusing on detail when required.Expertise: Project management, contract management, staff coordination and direction, budget management, environmental assessment, urban forestry and arboriculture, parks and landscaping, bushland and fauna management, community engagement, facilitation, WHS and risk, strategic planning and policy development.
