Drive overall strategy and roadmap for Alexa Smart Home Developer Experience and Matter

Product lead for Matter, a new smart home interoperability standard, within Alexa Smart Home. I am responsible for Amazon's overall strategy, roadmap, and execution for Matter. I also serve as Amazon's alternate Director on the Board of the Connectivity Standards Alliance, the creator of IoT standards including Matter and Zigbee.

Starting at early-stage technology/IP development, my team guided the requirements and development of connected hardware products and two end-to-end cloud-based products: SmartDock and SmartLPS. SmartDock provides real time loading dock status and utilization analysis using wireless cameras and image AI, reducing the dock’s position as the bottleneck of the warehouse. SmartLPS monitors employee, asset and space utilization/performance in large indoor facilities using our real-time location service and advanced analytics suite.

Responsible for defining and building a new Interactive Security and Home Automation service, Icontrol One, focusing on the 16,000 independent security dealers across the US

Product owner for all end-user facing applications within the Icontrol Connect Interactive Security and Home Management platform, supporting over a million monthly users through partners such as ADT, CenturyLink, Bell Aliant and Telguard.

Led a cloud storage value added service initiative for BT’s Retail division. The service is designed to enable BT to provide additional value to customers, reducing churn rate among broadband subscribers.

Communicated the System x and BladeCenter Intel-based server portfolio to customers. Designed hardware/software solutions to meet customers’ needs across a multi-state territory.

Designed and coordinated the implementation of Reliability, Availability and Serviceability (RAS) features for System p servers. Focused on improving the client perception of IBM hardware quality and system stability.

Contributed to the design, test, and integration of power systems within System x servers. Utilized technology to enable engineering, sales, and marketing to effectively communicate specific IBM value propositions to customers.
