I managed the IT infrastructure team for Hays in Queensland. The team covered a multitude of specialisms including Helpdesk, Senior Infrastructure and Project services. By networking and partnering with the best candidates and managers in the Brisbane market we were able to deliver tailored recruitment solutions to both the private and public sector. As a Manager I managed the day to day operations of the team, ensuring we had a clear strategy to grow our business and reach our ambitious sales targets.Additionally, I undertook 360 recruitment in the IT Infrastructure sector. I was promoted and was responsible for the day to day operations of my team along with looking after key accounts for Hays. The team I managed worked across the Oil & Gas and Energy & Logistics business in Queensland and recruited for both blue and white collar, permanent and contractor positions. During this time, I played an integral part in finalizing the RFQs, delivering presentations, negotiating bids and managing the key contacts within government utility organisations. Once these contracts were awarded, I was responsible for the day to day account management, reporting, delivery and ensuring the client received excellent levels of customer service.Additionally, I undertook 360 recruitment in the Energy and Oil & Gas Sector. I joined the Hays Brisbane business after transferring from the UK. I was brought over to Australia to start the Energy Trades business in Queensland which primarily focused on the Transmission & Distribution and Power Generation sectors. This was a new business for Hays in QLD and within twelve months I Hays become known as the market leader in the Energy market in Queensland.I specialised in 360 recruitment for positions including but not limited to: Distribution & Transmission linesman, Cable Jointers, Live Linesman, High Voltage Electricians, Secondary System Test Technicians, Mechanical Fitters, and Turbine Technicians.

I joined Hays during the recession in England and within three months I was awarded associate of the quarter and within my first twelve months I was awarded associate of the year.I initially started working in the Mechanical & Electrical business recruiting for various construction projects for the Southwest of England. This was a 360-recruitment role and I was recruiting for Electricians, Plumbers, Pipe fitters & Trade Assistants.I then moved into the Trades & Labour business in the greater Bristol area. We were awarded the sole supplier of one of the largest construction projects in Bristol at the time. I was the lead recruiter responsible for the recruitment of this project and at peak I had eighty-five contractors on this site. In 2011 I was recognised as one of highest performers in the UK business.

These positions varied from general construction work (shop fitting, commercial construction, residential construction) to specialised projects such as the refurbishment of the Seven Bridge crossing. I also worked as an Assistant Site Manager and an Autocad Technician.
