Profile bio

About Matt Maclaughlin

I taught high school English for six years before coming into the Department of the Army as a Logistics Specialist intern in 2005. My permanent placement after my internship was the Army Logistics Management College (ALMC) (now Army Logistics University) teaching their Introduction to Army Logistics and Defense Regional Interservice Support Agreements courses. Eventually, it was determined that in order to increase the audience both courses should be turned into distance learning products. I finished this task in 2007, and the two courses stood as ALMC’s first and only fully operational dL courses. The experience I gained in this process fortunately gave me the necessary skill sets to transition into a leadership role as the Chief of the Combined Arms Support Command's (CASCOM) Technology Integration Branch in 2009. It was at that time when moves for mobile and technological upgrades were begun in CASCOM’s educational processes, which lead to my development of the Sustainment Center of Excellence (SCoE) Mobile and SCoE Simulations team under the G3. The SCoE Mobile team fostered relationships and developed apps with/for entities inside and outside the Department of the Army. This mobile experience amassed over the 5 years of leading SCoE Mobile prepared me for my newest endeavor, Chief of the Mobile Learning Division for the US Army Training and Doctrine Command.

Listed skills include Mobile Technology, Technology Integration, Video Games, Innovation, and 24 others.
