My career began in daily journalism; I then moved to Istanbul as a freelance foreign correspondent. I traveled the Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia for clients including The New Yorker, Harper's, Businessweek and Foreign Affairs. I left journalism and worked as a consultant for the UN International Renewable Energy Agency, the Extractives Industry Transparency Initiative, the National Democratic Institute, Ernst & Young, the World Council of Credit Unions, and the Center for International Enterprise. Now I work for CIPE helping the organization publish and message.
