At Prime Publishing, I am responsible for the creating of all of the print and web based marketing materials for our properties and products. I also work with a team of editors to create digital publications (eBooks and magazines) which are crafted for tablets and other devices. In addition to these responsibilities, I also design our proprietary digital magazines, "I Like Knitting" and "I Like Crochet", both of which are available on Apple and Android devices.

February 2012 to PresentImage Coordinator/Digital Asset Manager at The Pampered ChefThe Pampered Chef is in the process of creating a new website to freshen up their dated web presence. As the on site Image Coordinator, I am involved with the content migration project that is charged with bringing over digital assets from the old site to the new. This involves cataloging and retouching thousands of images. Every recipe or product on the website needs an associated image, and there are varying sizes depending on real world usage. There are also images used specifically for mobile devices. I work in concert with the Creative Services department, web design and development teams, as well as copy editors. I direct the web designers on how to complete different pages within the site, by finding and supplying the correct and re-touched images.

Riverside Publishing is a subsidiary of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, and specializes in educational materials such as cognitive ability tests and other state administered exams. It was my responsibility to create all requested art work for such materials. Examples of requested pieces would be illustrated scenes (full color and black/white), maps, charts, graphs, tables, logos and typographical layouts. I also helped forge stylistic guidelines to ensure uniformity and visual appeal. While at Riverside, I also learned to use a content management system that allows me to download/upload art, as well as find and archive other pieces in the art library.

Purple Crayon Web Studio builds websites for many clients with many different needs. Myduties here involved blog site design and the print and image designs that were required bythe different clients. In a similar vein, I also authored blog articles about typography.

RTC Inc. specializes in commercial fixture and floor plan design, and they are contracted to activate retail space. They were contracted by Nike to create computer renderings of their retail floor plans. In addition to creating all of the necessary artwork, I also ran a team of other designers to ensure quality. My design responsibilities required me to take style sheets and manufacturing guides supplied by Nike, and use them to create vector based 2D apparel designs using Illustrator and Photoshop. I then took these designs and completed an extrusion and applied a bitmap texture using 3D Studio Max. Once that was done, I worked on populating a full fixture environment. After revisions were completed, I then laid out all required typography and images that were to constitute the seasonal book. These "visual merchandising guides" were then sent to major clients such as Macy's, Nordstrom, and Sports Authority.
