This project reduced costs for work by 45% andreduced response times from 5-7 days to 1-3 days.SD-WAN Implementation - Migrated from legacy copper MPLS / Broadband connectivityto modern fiber optic MPLS and Broadband services, reducing operating costs byleveraging portfolio spend with suppliers. SD-WAN architecture was implemented todecrease management costs by 40%. This also allowed us to increase uptime to 99% forour branch locations and datacenter. SD-WAN also allowed us to consolidate ourconnectivity among various operating companies while using multi-tenancy to logicallyseparate data to increase security.Network Monitoring - Initially the company reacted to network issues / outages. Utilizingseveral open source NMS platforms, proactive monitoring was added for all networkservices at the datacenter and branch levels. The Plainfield Emergency Management Agency, or PEMA, is a volunteer organization tasked with the responsibility of providing emergency services in the event of a disaster in the Village of Plainfield. PEMA has a dedicated Search and Rescue team and trained weather spotters on staff. ERP System Implementation - Lead role in implementation. Migrated from FoxPro-based ERP (MIE-Trak/FabriTrak) to SQL-based ERP system (Global Shop Solutions). Successfully migrated 100% of inventory system. Successfully migrated Bill of Material & Routing systems with over 95% accuracy. Cutover to new system in 6 months out of a 9-12 month expected timeframe. Lead trainer for all end-user training on new system. Trained all 175 employees in system operation.

Procurement - Responsible for driving down costs & lead time while increasing cash flow utilizing contracts / blanket orders, negotiating rebate programs & nurturing close relationships with a select group of core suppliers for raw material, hardware, outside services & MRO items.Procurement Systems Improvement - Transitioned a paper-based purchasing system to fully paperless process. Lead the creation of custom reports in Visual FoxPro based ERP system & custom MS-Access database designed to pull raw data from our ERP system to increase business intelligence for procurement and production control.Lean Manufacturing - As a core-team member of EMT’s Lean Manufacturing Program, assisted Materials Manager in streamlining new production control procedures to reduce finished goods inventories and decrease lead time.Supplier Management - Worked with Materials Manager to create a full Supplier Qualification System including quality surveys, supplier scorecard system & supplier NDAs. I handle the purchasing needs for four departments (two of which are commodity departments). I must determine proper stock levels, current and future demand for products, and covering all purchases needed to fulfill customer deliveries and will calls. Understanding various reports is also necessary in this job including out-of-stock reports, receiving reports, vendor control reports, Open PO and transfer reports, and the like.
