My experience and career progression have given me the skills and knowledge that allow me to effectively develop and manage information technology projects and personnel from the inception of an idea straight through final testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance. These skills go far beyond the technical prerequisites of working with today's variety of programming languages and web application frameworks. Equally important are the ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external clients, discover needs and opportunities for technology-based improvements, and work collaboratively and openly across disciplines to develop solutions that create more efficiency, greater productivity, better use of resources, and cost-savings.My success as a manager has been and continues to be based on developing and truly empowering teams of IT professionals. I promote an active and productive exchange of ideas, and motivate my colleagues to work together to achieve goals on-time and with a high degree of quality. At the same time, I maintain and update my own technical knowledge in order to be a credible and effective leader.
