The name is a portmanteau of 'Purpose + People', something I closely associate with, and is purposely a separate brand from the parent Telstra brand, because our offerings are so different from what our parent company is typically known for. Habanero delivered a massive website for Servus and subsequently took on 'sustainment' of the website service, which included implementation of ongoing upgrade/maintenance releases to the website and knowledge transfer to the Servus team. My SDM role was to coordinate and manage both the Habanero and Servus teams as part of this ongoing relationship. 2) User Experience Developer: additional skills that I brought to Habanero, how I started contracting to Habanero, and how I have continued contracting to Habanero since leaving Canada, are as a front end web developer for a variety of Habanero projects, including the Servus Credit Union (website development and sustainment), GoldCorp, FortisBC, Precision Drilling, Calgary Board of Education, Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP), Courthouse Library of BC, and Habanero's own 'User Experience Done Right' website (promoting their User Experience workshops).These two roles at Habanero were very enjoyable and complemented each other well, allowing me to both provide management services for the Servus website sustainment project as well as to get my 'hands dirty' with code. Consequently, as well as being a government agency, the accessibility, usability and quality of work for the website is of paramount importance. As my first job after finishing University, I was hired for my excellent computer skills and Civil Engineering degree. I became the web developer & development manager for the continual development & administration of the entire PSA website at www.psaproject.com.au, particularly the commercial Project Management web application ‘Your Project Path’ www.psaproject.com.au/ypp. I was responsible over 5 years for a variety of tasks both project management and IT related.
