• Led a joint planning team, on behalf of the Chief of Staff of the Army, to identify enterprise-wide strategic issues and coordinate input across disciplines in order to submit to Congress in annual budgeting process.
• Selected and prepared operational commanders, from around the globe, to engage with Congressional members, think tanks, and senior officials within the Defense Department in promoting the effectiveness of current.
• Aligned the reform initiatives of the Secretary of the Army with the modernization priorities of the Chief of Staff, allowing senior leaders to testify before Congress on the highest payoff programs.

• Selected by the Chief of Staff to serve as the Executive Officer of the Operation Enduring Freedom Study Group, a diverse group of 12 professional historians charged with publishing a single volume operational history.
• Built the team from the ground up; evaluated and selected historians and subject matter experts from around the globe, managed a budget in excess of $500,000, and delivered the manuscript ahead of schedule and under.
• Conducted personal interviews with the former President of the United States, Vice President of the United States, three Secretaries of Defense, two National Security Advisors and numerous four-star generals.
• Provided strategic and operational context to each section of the manuscript; served as the lead internal editor, and selected, analyzed, and wrote the main conclusions for the book.

Fort Drum, NY / Paktika, Afghanistan

• Re-engineered a light infantry unit consisting of more than 4000 soldiers into a cross functional security force assistance brigade trained to partner with the Afghan National Army, Police and Provincial Leadership.
• Synthesized diverse intelligence data sets to secure the safe and efficient closure of seven outlying operating bases, optimizing capability and enabling Afghan Security Forces to assume independent operations.
• Led a planning team consisting of army officers, members of the United States Agency for International Development, and local Afghan Leadership which allocated critical resources over 8,723 square miles.

Fort Leavenworth, KS

• Provided external management consulting to corporate level customers (100-500 personnel) in order to determine types and degree of issues, identify root causes, and help the customer develop and implement solutions.
• Devised lively workshops, nested in doctrine, on planning and synchronization and presented them to seasoned commanders and staffs, across the army’s global footprint, to improve operational and tactical performance.
• Developed relevant and challenging two-week simulation exercises, designed to validate the readiness of operational units prior to their deployment, and was the lead advisor to the senior mentor during each rotation.

Fort Sill, OK / Fallujah, Iraq

• Trained and deployed 103 Soldiers to provide all of the guided surface-to-surface fires throughout Iraq for 15 months, accomplishing every mission assigned without any casualties or significant damage to equipment.
• Developed a separate supply chain directly with Lockheed Martin for the expeditious delivery of sensitive repair parts, which enabled the guidance systems, allowing 24 hour operations in all weather conditions.
