I am a senior shareholder with Sommers Schwartz P.C. and I focus my practice on medical malpractice, legal malpractice, ERISA and class action matters.I have always fought for the rights of the individual against large hospitals, corporations, insurance companies, and the government because I believe that protecting individual rights is the most important part of this profession. During law school, I worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Richard Kuhn at the Oakland County Circuit Court. After law school graduation, I joined a firm that was originally started by my father, Turner and Turner, P.C. I have handled cases in a broad range of practice areas such as business litigation, employment discrimination, dental malpractice, auto accident, slip and fall and other cases of death and catastrophic loss.I have had the unique experience of appearing before the United States Supreme Court and prevailing 9-0, establishing precedent that will be followed throughout the country. I have handled a number of appeals and have argued before the Michigan Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the 6th circuit, and the Michigan Court of Appeals. I have obtained a verdict in excess of a million dollars in a medical malpractice trial and have obtained a number of other highly successful trial verdicts and settlements. In addition to my legal career, I have been a varsity high school football coach for over 20 years. In 2002 the Michigan High School football Coaches Association named me one of the Assistant Coaches of the Year. I currently serve as the offensive line coach and offensive coordinator at Birmingham Groves High School. I have been fortunate to be a part of multiple league championship teams, have made numerous playoff appearances, and have advanced as far as the state semi-finals.
