I am an accomplished Graphic Designer, Web Developer and Project Manager with a broad range of experience across different sectors, now leading a digital team in a full-service creative agency.After spending most of my teenage years tinkering with the family computer, writing HTML code and following Photoshop tutorials online I knew that I wanted to pursue a career in digital. Upon leaving college, I secured my first role designing editorial features and adverts for a local lifestyle magazine. My next role saw me designing across a variety of media, both print and digital. As the only designer in the organisation I took full responsibility for creative output and had the opportunity to push myself to gain knowledge in print production, exterior graphics and signage, merchandising and social media.I was later promoted to manage marketing and promotions, a role which allowed me to gain a broader understanding of marketing. I set up and managed several new social media channels, rapidly gaining followers and increasing engagement. I also managed a team of promotional staff and facilitated a number of important fundraising projects - increasing event sales by 60% over the previous year and leading to a student election campaign with a record number of candidates and votes.In my position at Solent University I was responsible for the day to day management of a student-powered creative agency. A hybrid role which required account management, marketing, project management and office management. I was responsible for building the reputation of the agency, managing the team, sourcing work opportunities, helping students build their portfolios, mentoring and establishing links with local and national business.With an itch I couldn't scratch, I started to take on freelancing design and development projects before starting a new full time design role at a local travel and tourism company. In a small marketing team I was responsible for all creative design output, including print, web, email and digital signage.-----------------------------------------In late 2018 I joined a creative agency, working in a busy design studio. Since joining the company, I was instrumental in pushing forward to expand into digital services. I am now responsible for managing the digital team and growing our work in this area.
