About Matt Wendroff, Cpa

Matt Wendroff is the president and founder of Vortex Consulting. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from SUNY Albany, Matt began his career as an accountant and CPA with Ernst and Young. In 1995 he transitioned from the accounting profession into the Information Technology world as an SAP Finance and Controlling consultant with Plaut Consulting. At Plaut, Matt became one of their first SAP FI/CO consultants in the United States. In this role, he learned from the leading SAP finance consultants from Plaut Europe to master his understanding of the tools and accounting methodologies inherent in the SAP platform. Matt formed Vortex Consulting in 1997, with the goal of providing top industry talent in the SAP marketplace. In the 25+ years since, Vortex has grown exponentially, with a growing roster of clients throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Today, Vortex is a full-fledged Strategic Integrator as well as an IT Staffing Firm providing full life cycle project implementations in the SAP S4 and ECC suites. Under Matt’s leadership, Vortex Consulting has developed substantial experience and expertise in the following specialties: SAP S/4HANA Implementations, S/4 Supply Chain Management and Optimization, S4 Global Template Design, Localization of Global Templates and Rollouts to new Plants and Business Units, Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), Transportation Management, SAP S/4HANA Finance, Business Intelligence, Data Archiving & Information Lifecycle Management Services, ABAP, and Technical Integration.As president of Vortex Consulting, Matt is dedicated to developing and maintaining high caliber client relationships at the IT Director and C Suite Level. He is in constant communication with leading consulting experts in the SAP industry and has evolved Vortex’s service offerings to be on the leading edge of the ever-changing SAP landscape.When not in the office, Matt can be found enjoying the great outdoors with his family. Mountain biking, skiing, fly fishing, and boating are some of his favorite leisure activities.
