In my studies I've found great success in sharing what I've learned with others. When collaborating I re-explain topics we've covered to improve others' understanding, and mine as well. As a tutor, I have a knack for breaking down difficult lessons well enough that even small children can understand the general concept. I not only work well with others but I find myself at my best when I'm teamed up with, or even just side-by-side with a peer of mine. I'm quite sociable and make friends quickly even in unfamiliar situations. I like to clarify things with instructors or clients as it gives me insight on what their goals are, instead of simply worrying about the task at hand.At The Coder School I've taught many students, even handling a sizable fraction of our entire client base on my own. I have a lot of experience teaching young students learning the fundamentals of programming in several languages, even challenging myself to learn new languages to fit their interests!I consider myself an expert at: - summarizing topics- conjuring creative examples- developing projects which aim to teach a concept- balancing group discussion (flexibly deciding to speak more often in the presence of quiet collaborators, or speaking when necessary with more talkative folk)- being patient with others
