Starting my career at 19 in a helpdesk traineeship, I quickly developed a passion for both technology and understanding people. As I grew more skilled in troubleshooting and systems, my curiosity for how technology serves people deepened. Each role became a stepping stone, not just for expanding my technical expertise, but for learning how to connect with and support the people behind the technology.My journey took an exciting turn when I transitioned into management, leading technical teams for four years. This experience sharpened my leadership skills, but also reaffirmed my love for hands-on technical work. Returning to technical roles, first with RSEA Safety Australia and now with the AFL, I’ve embraced the challenge of balancing technical problem-solving with service delivery. My management experience has allowed me to collaborate closely with the Service Delivery Manager, providing insights on how we can improve processes and efficiency, drawing from my years of leading teams and understanding the technical landscape.Through it all, my focus on understanding people, whether it be colleagues or clients, has been my guiding principle. It’s been an incredibly rewarding journey and I can truly say I have met some incredible leaders and cant wait to see what the future holds.
