Lead a team of up to 65 IT professionals in the architecting, engineering, implementing, securing and operating campus-wide systems, networking and telecommunications infrastructure. Interacted with all levels of client staff during consultations to attain specific needs across the total spectrum of the company.Provided strategic recommendations to manage corporate IT for large manufacturing center ($3B in annual sales). Developed and implemented corporate IT strategic plans for multibillion-dollar organizations with annual IT-related investments of $100M-plus. Developed strategic plans for large organizations with $200M-plus budget which led to improved performance, increased sales, decreased costs, and vastly improved customer satisfaction. Provided recommendations for Internet connectivity, WAN/LAN, Web-enabling, management information systems, enterprise resource planning, security, network management, e-commerce, Y2K for large industrial complex (more than 20,000 users). Provided engineering management and configuration control for command, control communication and intelligence networks for the USTRANSCOM, the United States Space Command (USSPACECOM), and the Pentagon. Acted as Engineering Project Manager for the installation of the $3M USTRANSCOM Headquarters ATM network. Orchestrated the installation of all phases of the project including inter-building fiber optic and intra-building copper cable installations, communications equipment room design and installation and internetworking equipment source selection. Provided biweekly updates to the senior staff regarding project status, expenditure and obligation rate of command funds. Acted as Engineering Project Manager for the $1.4M development of the Pentagon Standards-Based Architecture and the Single Agency Manager’s (SAM) Standards Profile. Assisted the SAM in long range planning and budgeting efforts to support the communications infrastructure of the Pentagon facility. Directed the documentation of the USSPACECOM Headquarters and its interconnection between all of its associated facilities in the Colorado Springs CO area.
