Overseeing staff members and ensuring the accurate and timely invoicing of customers.Setting payment collection goals and targets for the region.Creating and implementing a strategy to improve the collection of outstanding credit.Implementing collection policies and procedures to avoid excessive outstanding credit.Ensuring that the company policy on recoveries is followed and that it is in line with state and federal regulations.Implementing deadlines for invoicing and payment collection.Negotiating with customers in cases when non-payment occurs.Preparing monthly feedback reports on payment collections.Remaining informed of any legislative procedural training regarding debt collection.Training and mentoring of staff members in the collections department.

As the Sector Manager, my duties involve;Ensuring that the sector’s operations run smoothly by acting as the link between the units and satellites in the sector and the headquarters in Nairobi.Daily and weekly reporting as well as escalating to the management all important issues occurring within the sector.Maintaining profitability and revenue growth across all units and satellites in the sector by ensuring that all units and satellites in the sector hit their disbursement, collections and active customer targets. Assisting the Operations Manager and the Chief Operating Officer to set disbursement and active customer targets for the units and satellites in the sector.Conducting performance appraisals for all the employees within the sector in addition to approving their annual and sick leaves.Leadership and problem solving for all staff as well as fraud detection and prevention within the sector
