Fund Development:I led the organization's Fund Development strategy from the ground up, including cultivating relationships with institutional and individual donors, developing grant proposals, directing prospect research and building solicitation opportunities. I increased our annual operating budget from $1.85MM in 2018 to $3.7MM by 2022, and secured $1.9MM in unrestricted and general operating funding. I cultivated relationships and received funding from nearly 50 new foundation partners and institutional funders, and doubled the amount of foundation funding and investments from donor advised funds (DAF).Communications:I directed the development, design, and implementation of the online fundraising program, using digital channels to increase donor cultivation through diverse donor campaigns. I led the development of 7 digital donor campaigns, which generated 36% of the total individual donation revenue collected online. I created personalized campaigns to acquire new recurring donations and sustainers online; 24% of all donations secured online are from recurring donors.

I facilitated technical assistance and trainings at the local and national level that support evidence-based strategies to improve chronic disease prevention. I led tailored trainings with nearly 600 public health practitioners in six California regions that focused on health equity, policy and systems change, and coalition building, as well as oversaw technical assistance planning, delivery and financial reporting of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention program grantees.

I taught a variety of interactive nutrition and food resource management courses through the UC CalFresh Nutrition Education Program and the federally-funded Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) in Contra Costa County. I partnered with nutrition education extenders to recruit adults and families to participate in the UC CalFresh adult nutrition series, including homeless shelters, community centers, housing sites, food banks and child care facilities, and reported quarterly enrollment and record program data from participants and nutrition education collaborators. In 2012, I exceeded UC CalFresh yearly program target goals for graduating adult participants by 50%.

I facilitated classes through the Cooking Matters program - a six-week cooking and nutrition course for under-resourced Bay Area communities implementing healthy eating on a limited budget. I supported the launch of the Fruit and Veggie Rx Program in Santa Clara County community health clinics to exchange healthcare provider-generated “prescriptions” for local produce at farmers’ markets.

I promoted CalFresh/SNAP redemption at local farmers’ markets through a federally funded incentive program to encourage fruit and vegetable consumption among CalFresh recipients. I managed farmers' markets throughout Contra Costa County to support local farmers and promote awareness of equitable food systems, and supported community education concerning food, nutrition and the sustainability of California agriculture.
