I started here as a quality control/general laborer and quickly moved into the Customer Service position. As a general laborer my duties included pulling product from the warehouse and prepping it to be printed. As quality control my duties included checking the printed materials for discrepancies in printing and overall quality of the goods. I also had to hand pack these and make sure the customer would be receiving the quantity ordered. As the customer service rep my duties include answering phone and emails. I provide quotes and help customers find the right item for their needs. I also provide shipping quotes and answer general questions. I use Quickbooks to create the sales orders for the orders coming in and to create invoices for the orders that have been shipped out. I also create purchase orders to order goods that we use in our business. I am in charge of shipping the goods using UPS Worldship and Fed Ex Ship Manager. I also know how to use USPS Click and Ship. I also file and gather samples to be shipped out.
Patient Services Representative/Medical Records Clerk (Oral & Maxilofacial Surgery)
In this position I worked as a Patient Service Rep and Medical Records Clerk in an out patient Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Oral Medicine Practice. As a patient service rep my duties included checking in and checking out patients. This included collecting copays and deductibles, verifying medical and dental coverage, securing insurance referrals for HMO insurances and scheduling office visits and surgeries. As a medical records clerk my duties included prepping the charts for upcoming appointments. Obtaining digital and film x-rays for upcoming appointments. During my time there we were in the process of transitioning to electronic medical records. I was responsible for scanning in all of the old charts and scanning in all new items that needed to be filed into the electronic charts. I also learned medical coding and billing. I would cover for my coworker when she was off to keep up with the billing. I left this position to move to Florida.
Patient Service Representative (Floater)
In this position I worked as a floater in a large outpatient medical facility. The floater position is designed to provide well trained consistent coverage in the event that someone is on vacation or leave. I worked as a PSR in almost every department in this building. The exception being travel medicine. I also worked as a pharmacy rep when needed and in the lobby reception area. In this position I worked at the check in desk in a busy multi specialty outpatient office. My duties included answering calls, scheduling appointments, checking patients in, verifying insurance and referrals, collecting co-pays and deductibles. This was a very busy office with up to 120 patients seen in one day. I left this position to become a floater in the same building.
