Hello, my name is Mauricio Soares. I work in software development for 2 years and teach English for 1 year. I am currently employed at Thermo Fisher Scientific, and Wizard by Pearson.I have experience in software development/engineering in the financial, cybersecurity, and clinical research areas, in which I have:- Delivered apps for internal use, built with Microsoft Power Platform;- Developed front-end interfaces and components in React.js & TypeScript;- Implemented features in back-end systems written in Elixir, and Kotlin;- Fixed bugs and minor complexity issues, mostly in back-end systems;- Created test scenarios in both front and back-end using popular libraries such as JUnit5 and Jest.Back in college, I was involved in three academic projects, in which I assumed diverse roles, such as UX Designer, Product Manager, Fullstack Developer, and Scrum Master. In all the projects I have been involved in since I joined technology, I have been in contact with agile methodologies, especially Scrum and Kanban; with each new project, I became familiar with the ideation procedure, brainstorming, research and interviews with target audiences, identification and creation of proto personas, creation of user stories, elicitation of software requirements, among another range of topics covered in the development process.Technologies I use/have used: Microsoft Power Platform, React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, Elixir, Phoenix, Kotlin, Java, HTML, CSS, SQL, MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Spring Framework, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Figma, Linux, AWS, Microsoft Azure.I'm passionate about languages, nowadays I'm an English teacher and I've worked as a volunteer translator to help a game developer in ascension. Whenever I am in contact with English, whether in a classroom or in front of a screen, I feel that I'm able to help people evolve and learn at the same time that I learn from them too.
