How does one craft a description broad enough to encompass what it is I do at Drillmec? I arrived at Drillmec with seasoned experience in structural and pressure retaining fabrication quality control roughly around late 2010, my experience in welding and non-destructive examination came into the mix at this time. Drillmec, Houston has since evolved far and away beyond simple structural fabrication and has branched into the marketing and servicing of complete rig packages for both drilling and exploration clientele throughout the globe and even into in-field inspections(API RP 4G)! As a documentation specialist and a general student of codes and standards, I have had the pleasure of expanding my own horizons into the international marketplace via Drillmec. I now am proud to say that I head-up the quality control documentation department for our regional Houston office.

As the Quality Control Manager at East Houston Fab, I was responsible for ensuring thecompletion and documentation of all quality requirements for AWS D1.1, ASME(BPVC) and CWB compliant and/or certified products. During this time I was the organizations primary point of contact to the Authorized Inspector. Cut and dry this is where the rubber hit the code for me along my path. It was with the opportunities afforded me by this small business's willingness to take a chance on me and trust me to handle the quality requirements, that I grew into the position and role I now fill in 2015, along with the sage advice from a learned Authorized Inspector. Both of these factors caused me to absorb the multitudes of information that constitute "good-practices" in the fabrication/manufacturing business. Strict attention to various code and their different requirements became apparent during this stage of my career. I will always be grateful for the trust and opportunities which this employer brought to my list of experience-backed projects successfully completed within compliance.

As an intern I performed and logged hundreds of manufacturing time studies of CNC produced valve components. Compiled machine maintenance cost tracking charts. Modified shop station routing order when necessary. Logged hands-on work with AS/400 database architecture. My responsibilities also involved heavy use of M$ Excel, M$ Access as well as an understanding of fabrication drawings and schematics.

My duties were to diagnose, repair, and report issues with customer's computers. Responsibilitiesalso included; on phone technical support for customers as well as field technicians, answeringlevel II networking questions for internal and external networking issues before escalation to theN.O.P., also installing, using, and configuring various operating systems including Windows3.1x/WFW/95/98/NT4 server and workstation, Linux (Redhat and Slackware). I also assisted withthe corporate and customer website design coding(non-WYSIWYG).
