Currently employed as a business coordinator at Staffordshire County Council, managing a team of officers to fur fill service provisions. My aim is to apply as much of my knowledge as possible to help the business side of the council run to its full potential and efficient capacity. I have previously worked amongst leisure facilities management and with sports intermediary firms looking at the commercial side of sport. After studying in Leeds for my BA honours in Sports Marketing I realised I would be coming out in the middle of a global pandemic, so I needed to find something to give me that extra edge. This is where I made the decision to study a master’s degree in International Sports Management at the GIS (Global Institute of Sport)/University of East London. These degrees allowed me to explore and understand the commercial aspects of the sporting industry but also prepared me with transferable skills to be applied in other markets by completing numerous modules tailored to real life scenarios. My passions outside of work include playing rugby in the National Leagues. Rugby is a game I have played my entire life and something that allows me to switch off from anything going on in day-to-day life, it also provides me with an opportunity to sustain a bearable work life balance.
