I was the Chief Engineer, and managing team lead (I had four direct reports), for a 45 story, $65 million dollar residential building. It was my responsibility to source, negotiate, contract and oversee all departmental vendors. I performed annual reviews for HVAC, fire alarm, fire suppression, elevator and generator systems. I established effective inventory controls and provided ongoing training to my team, which minimized annual budget expenses by 45%. Additionally, I provided exceptional customer service resulting in resident satisfaction scores of 9.7/10.

As the lead engineer, I served as a mentor and trainer to my engineering colleagues/team. I was a key team member during a three-month renovation of hotel rooms and outlets. I, also, successfully oversaw and managed contractors and vendors for kitchen floor resurfacing project. Conducting routine preventive building systems maintenance checks, as well as managing operations and equipment for plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, laundry and electrical systems were part of my day-to-day responsibilities. Additionally, I diagnosed, provided service to and handled all repairs of aforementioned building equipment. My technical abilities saved the company an annual minimum of $40K in contractor appointments for maintenance and/or repairs.

I joined Four Seasons Hotel Seattle as an Engineer II and was quickly promoted to Engineer I/Lead Engineer. My responsibilities included diagnosing, providing service to, and handling all repairs of building equipment and systems including (but not limited to): motors, starters, breakers, electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC refrigeration, kitchen equipment and laundry equipment. I responded to and handled guest calls regarding maintenance of rooms. I was, additionally, responsible for inventory control, as well as maintaining order within the Engineering Department facilities.
