Independent Research is over d13C content in leaves and if it is affected by drought and treatment conditions. Grant was approved and funded by the HATCH supplement on November 2016. Research started after approval with collection of leaf litter from the 2016 leaf fall. Samples are in process of being tested, and the write-up was finished by November 2017.

Employed under Professor Goodale. Work includes: assisting head technician, filtering samples, performing data entry on excel, grinding, VOC testing, and performing tests on samples with lab machines. Overarching research is about 12 treated plots near Ithaca, and how the treatments (Nitrate, Ammonium Sulfate, and Sulfur) affect the local soil microbes and fauna.
