Coordinate the dedicated Linux Support for more than 500 servers for some of Atos biggest
accounts. Supporting the entire infrastructure of this servers performing analysis of current
status, proactive implementations and making the improvements necessary through
diferents request and projects.
Led a team of UNIX engineers (SUL’s) from all the glove to bring dedicated 24/7 managing
projects or requests between SAN, Network, DNS, Hardware and Application teams.
Accomplishments:
-> Lead development of all operations related with the accounts.
-> Design action plans and schedules and execute them in defined periods of time.
-> Established quality assurance, documentation that improves internal process and enhance productivity.
-> Attend meetings for proactive actions, projects, RCA, and incidents/task follow up.

Design and implement a solid infrastructure for holding two projects:Iguama.com: a webpage with more than 1 million of visits per day from Latin America, in which was need it to implement a cluster high availability web serverDeportes por Celular: integration with the Telecommunications company using Unix / Linux based tools, working with the developers teams to ensure a 24/7 service. AccomplishmentsEnsure availability and accessibility of all services running in all the servers (Web server, DataBase server, Load balance (LVM) and network).Develop virtual machines for development purposes and for database servers.Research, installation and configuration of any application, library or service that is required for development (mysql, nagios3, haproxy, mrtg, ActiveMQ, squid, etc).Prevent saturation: implementing load balancing using LVS, set alerts and reports to help proactively identify when a server is high enough (before it happens so involves continuous monitoring of services).Prevent attacks: Program alerts and reports that help identify and stop potential attacks from third to any company server (this involves continuous monitoring of services).Optimize settings: Always ensure that the configurations of services (http, mysql, dns, operating system, etc.) is optimal according to server capacity and traffic they receive at all times.Security administration (SELINUX, IPTables)Design and rolled out the new architecture for the web site to guarantee redundancy and load balancing increasing the uptime from 90% to 99%.
