Casual Astronaut is a 30-ish person digital marketing agency whose clients consist of universities, hospitals, hotels, and destinations. As web development manager, I am responsible for delivering our agency’s digital output. This is a dual individual contributor and managerial role where I both code websites and applications for clients while managing and maintaining our roster of external developers.

Sacramento, California Area

Ran a successful agency-of-one while working on my ongoing interactive virtual reality experience, The Goodbye Room — a Sundance New Frontiers grant awardee. Consulting work included design, prototyping, and website development for startups, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, UC Berkeley, and more.

Responsible for producing marketing guidelines, collateral, and language for Soar’s DIY volumetric video capture solution. This included designing and developing Soar’s website and onboarding process, producing videos — volumetric and otherwise, creating physical collateral and signage for trade shows, as well as representing the company at events.

San Francisco Bay Area

Boldium is a delightful, small-ish design agency in Berkeley, CA. There, I lead their development practice — meaning I managed other developers, worked directly with clients, conducted ideation sessions, pitched projects, and implemented designs.

Phoenix, Arizona Area

Worked with a small team to design and develop an iOS application for sharing and supporting sustainable ideas using geolocation technologies. Raised a small seed round, got some press, went nowhere — but had fun doing it.

Palo Alto, Ca

Collaborated to design, develop, and maintain Bureau of Trade — a shopping and culture site for men that was ultimately acquired by eBay.

Worked with the Knowledge Sharing team to craft the future of corporate social networking software.
