In my voluntary role with a Middleton Railway, I aim to develop new skills, connect with new people, and support the preservation of railway history for future generations. My responsibilities include: • Commitment to Health & Safety: Ensuring a high level of safety awareness for myself, fellow volunteers, and visitors, crucial to maintaining a secure environment within an operational railway setting. • Steam & Diesel Locomotive Maintenance and Refurbishment: Assisting in the upkeep and restoration of historic steam and diesel engines, gaining hands-on experience in traditional engineering practices and learning valuable transferable skills. • Track Inspection, Maintenance, and Replacement: Participating in the inspection and maintenance of railway tracks to uphold safe operations. This involves gaining knowledge of track engineering, spotting signs of wear, and contributing to track renewal projects as needed.This role has been invaluable for hands-on experience in heritage locomotive preservation, railway safety, and track maintenance, enriching my understanding of traditional railway operations while contributing to an important piece of history.

Operating Vending & Leisure machines across the UK.I started Max Leisure at end of 2019, I saw an opportunity to repair and upcycle amusement & vending machines in my local area. I started off just repairing then selling machines to leisure companies who would then provide an operator service to business. As we expanded we started providing amusement & vending operating services to local business operating them ourselves. This consist of us Installing, maintaining, repairing, restocking and testing machines in clients premises.Fast forward a few years and a relocation from West Wales to Leeds we are still going strong as I started an apprenticeship I needed an extra hand in operating machines to ensure our clients was still getting a high quality service. I cannot be more grateful for my team at Max Leisure and for all the support I've had from my friends & family.
