About Max Fallon
I worked in the security industry for 20 years. I started out in Sydney where I gained experience in busy control rooms and crowd control in pubs and clubs. I worked as a Risk Management officer at the Westin Sydney Hotel in the heart of the city at Martin Place during the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, providing security, conflict resolution, fraud and theft investigation, crowd control, access control and cash escorts. I was Manager of Security Operations for a Security contract at RAAF Base Wagga and Blamey Barracks Army Recruit Training Centre Wagga Wagga from 2012 to 2014. During this time, I was also promoted to manage multiple sub-contracted services at RAAF Base Wagga, including Pest Control, Cleaning, Sport and recreation, Fire Fighting, Grounds Maintenance and Accommodation. I then moved onto a Operations Manager role with G-TEC Security, providing patrols and alarms response services to the Riverina region. My beliefs place people as innately precious and valuable and I believe in forgiveness and rehabilitation and giving people multiple chances to change. With this motivation, I entered the Corrections Industry as a Correctional Officer, where I soon discovered a flair for case management. I was fortunate to transition into the Rehabilitation side of Corrections as a Case Planner. This role involved assessing the criminogenic needs of offenders and devising case plans to guide inmates through a gradual pathway to address their needs, address their offending behavior and ultimately prepare them for re-entry to the community. After a 6-month break, I came back to GEO as a Rehabilitation and Reintegration Officer. I facilitate therapeutic programs to address offending behaviour, including decision making, addiction, aggression and domestic violence. I also provide welfare services to offenders to cope in custody and to assist with their transition back into the community.
