During my time at the University of Brighton, I have develeoped a keen interest in skill sharing with fellow team members when working in group projects, and am able to pluck vital information from research papers and convey such information in a user friendly way for others to learn from.Now with a degree in biological sciences under my belt, I am currently undertaking a post-graduate degree to gain qualified teaching status. This will not only give me the knowledge and skills I need to be a successful and meaningful teacher, but will also drive my ambision to give every child the chance to succeed in their academic career, with a particular interest in specialising in SEN and pupil safeguarding. Although I do not have the desire to work in a mainstream classroom as a traditional teacher, I view my PGCE training as the next step in my career that will embolden my skills working with young people, and a core life experience that will stay with me for a lifetime.My passion for helping young minds and those in need is what drives me to further my career, and hope to one day work for a school, council or agency which a focus on SEN, safeguarding, pupil referrals, or other pastoral roles.With over 4 years of retail experience dedicated to resolving customer issues and requirements, and at the final stages of an intensive science degree, I have honed my skills in conflict resolution and communication, data handling and information presentation, and am prepared to use said skills in any work enviroment I find myself in.
