    - Designed structural brackets for a roller shade system with a seamless aesthetic in order to mask electrical wiring, shade to bracket interfaces, and mounting hardware- Simulated static and dynamic loads on all structural shade bracket designs using finite element analysis in ANSYS Simulation Software and validated these simulations by hanging weights the brackets corresponding to real world loads and measuring bracket deflections - Created 3D-printed, bent sheet metal, and machined metal prototypes to test different installation methodologies, holding ability, wire management solutions, and finished aesthetics of bracket designs - Analyzed data accumulated from 168 real estate listings and 40 articles in design periodicals to determine the types of window treatments, types of windows, relevant residential markets, and prevalent housing styles for residences valued at over $10 million- Troubleshot cart designs and built 21 carts for a new cart-based manufacturing process in the factory with the aim of decreasing production line errors, reducing potential hazards to factory workers, and manufacturing time of shades in order to double the output potential of the factory within three months

    - Fabricated and assembled numerous prototypes of new and in development products to show to senior product designers for aesthetic evaluations - Designed a new, lightweight, durable display for the sales team to use when demonstrating the capabilities of the Caséta Wireless system to customers- Created graphic storyboards of potential product functionalities and features for sales team members to show to customers when soliciting feedback to inform design decisions- Assembled prototypes of the new display out of plastic with input power from a wall receptacle, internal light bulbs, an on board electrical receptacle, and a hidden Wi-Fi router- Analyzed different sourcing and manufacturing options for display components to minimize the production cost of 250 units - Heat tested new displays with different incandescent, fluorescent, and LED light bulbs using a thermocouple following UL heat testing guidelines in order to ensure that the plastic of the display would not deform or melt from the heat emitted by the light bulbs
