The Center for Environmental Building + Design is a faculty research unit and consultancy at the University of Pennsylvania Stuart Weitzman School of Design dedicated to improving the environmental future of contemporary buildings and cities. CEBD works in interdisciplinary teams on projects at a range of scales from institutional carbon accounting to prototyping responsive building skins. CEBD’s consulting, research, publications, and curricula challenge environmental designs on multiple, interacting scales, which we believe can only be reimagined systemically.
