My name is Max Hamilton. I am the Senior Interior Designer and Studio Manager for Ward 5 Design, a NYC-based design/build firm. Since 2020, I have worked as the lead project manager and senior designer for Ward 5 Design, specializing in strategic planning, organizational systems, material procurement and installation/team management. Today, I am the Project Manager, Senior Interior Designer, and Studio Manager for my firm, where I produce some of Ward 5's most iconic, published work. My designs have been featured in publications such as The Wall Street Journal and Francesc Zamora Mola's "150 Best of the Best Apartment Ideas". Since 2017, I have performed more than 50 full-home installations, and have managed teams of 30+ workers, both on and off site. My efforts in creating accessible, affordable design have also allowed me to spearhead a DIY design service for our more independent, crafty clients.At the start of my professional career, I spent several years working in the IATSE Local 52 Motion Picture Studio Mechanics Union, alongside renowned creatives for several films and television shows. I've worked in various set dressing and property department positions for productions such as Ocean's 8, The Last O.G., Ray Donovan, and many more. This industry taught me the ins and outs of large-scale production, copyrights, physical labor, safety regulations, and overall discipline and work ethic.
